Since our humble beginnings on 11 January 2011, The Proven Group has grown from a home-based resume-writing service into a trusted, award-winning, full-service HR consultancy supporting individuals and businesses across Australia.

Our Story

The Proven Group began with a passion for helping job seekers write standout resumes and navigate career opportunities. That same commitment to quality, integrity and people-first service continues to define us today.

In 2014, a single act of intuition sparked something bigger. After writing a resume for a young graduate accountant, Carmel had a gut feeling. She made a phone call to a local accountant in her network, suggesting he meet the candidate despite there being no job on offer. The two hit it off, and a successful hire was made. From that connection, our Recruitment pillar was born.

As the business expanded, Carmel noticed a recurring pattern great candidates were landing great jobs but not always being well-supported once onboard. There was a clear need for more robust and compliant people practices within businesses. Enter: Human Resources.

A coffee meeting with Belinda Fyffe now a cornerstone of our leadership team led to the creation of The Proven Group’s third pillar. From that moment on, we’ve continued to grow organically, building on what we’ve learnt and who we’ve helped.

Today, The Proven Group is a vibrant team of professionals offering end-to-end HR, recruitment, compliance, training, and career services all under one roof.

Our Timeline

2011

Humble beginnings. The Proven Group started out writing resumes and assisting job seekers, laying the foundation for what would grow into a broader employment and people-focused business built on genuine care for the individuals we supported.

2014

Our Recruitment pillar was added through an act of intuition, expanding beyond resume writing into connecting candidates with employers and setting the stage for a more complete, end-to-end approach to workforce support.

2018

We rebranded as The Proven Group, reflecting how far the business had grown. This year also saw the launch of our Human Resources pillar, rounding out our offering across employment, recruitment and HR services.

2020

Our first Associate joined the team, marking a pivotal step in scaling The Proven Group beyond its founder and building the collaborative team culture that continues to drive the business today.

2022

We launched our second brand, Practical Professional Development, extending our expertise into training and development and giving clients a dedicated avenue for building stronger, more capable teams.

2023/24

A year of behind-the-scenes transformation, with a systems overhaul and technology implementation that strengthened how we operate and deliver for clients. We also proudly took home the Winner title at the 2023 Geelong Business Awards.

2025
